Premier League| Manchester is Red once again as Rashford's goal seals a remarkable comeback against City


Manchester United got the better of their city rivals as they came from behind to beat Manchester City 2-1 at Old Trafford.

There were no goals in the first half, as United did enough to isolate threats like Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne from exploiting their defense.
Despite their heavy possession of the ball, the Cityzens struggled to get into their opponent's box, with the back four, Casemiro and Fred doing their jobs effectively.
Marcus Rashford came close twice in the half but was unsuccessful as his first attempt was cleared off the line by Manuel Akanji before Ederson made a save to deny the second attempt minutes later.

Kyle walker tried his luck from range in the closing stages of the half but his shot just went wide.
Substitute Jack Grealish gave City the lead in the 60th minute of the second half after a nice play between Riyad Mahrez and Dr Bruyne, with the latter sending in a cross for he Englishman to nod home.

This was City's first shot on target.
United didn't let this goal kill their momentum however, as at the 78th minute, Bruno Fernandes made it 1-1 for the team, receiving Casemiro's pass before striking a hot shot from the edge of the box to the bottom corner.
There were offside appeals but VAR deemed the buildup to the goal onside.

Marcus Rashford made it 2-1 in the 82nd minute after being set up by Alejandro Garnacho before tucking home from close range, completing the comeback for the Reds.
The Englishman has now scored 10 goals in his last 9 home games in all competitions, taking his tally to 8 goals in the league and 16 goals this season.

United move to 3rd place with 38 points, a point behind City and 6 points behind table toppers Arsenal.
