World Cup| Richarlison Stars as the Samba Boys flourish against Serbia in Group G

Richarlison's second half brace proved to be more than enough to down Serbia at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

Neymar almost found the back of the net from a direct corner kick in the 13th minute but Serbia Shotstopper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic was on alert to tip it over.

Vanja remained strong to deny the likes of Vinicius Jr, Raphinha and a Casemiro from hitting the net.
Raphinha had a great chance to put Brazil 1-0 up early in the second half after Vanja made a mistake, but the Keeper rectified it by saving the Barcelona Winger's shot.
Neymar and Vinicius Jr kept troubling the Serbian defense, as the Samba boys combined to exploit their opponents with runs and skills.

In the 60th minute,Alex Sandro fired a long range shot which evaded everyone but the post.
Richarlison finally found the opener for Brazil two minutes later, tapping from close range after Vanja spilled Vinicius shot.
The Tottenham forward grabbed his second in the 73rd minute with one of the sweetest strikes of the tournament so far, received Vinicius outside boot delivery, controlled it in the air before firing home a spectacular bicycle kick volley.

Richarlison became the first Brazilian to score a brace on his World Cup debut since Neymar in 2014.

Casemiro had his shot cannon off the post in the 81st minute before Fred and Rodrygo had their attempts saved by Vanja.

The Samba Boys move to the top of Group G while Serbia hope to bounce back against Cameroon.
