Premier League| Brentford climb to 7th place after big victory against Liverpool

Brentford picked up their first three points of the year after beating Liverpool 3-1 at Middlesex.

The Bees came into game without their leading top scorer, Ivan Toney due to a knee injury.
Liverpool were also missing some key players going to the game but hoped to Savage something out of it.
Darwin Nunez almost gave Liverpool in the 8th minute after rounding up Bees Shotstopper David Raya but his shot was cleared off the line by Ben Mee.

Brentford took the lead in the 19th minute after Ibrahima Konate trailing leg sent the ball into his own net.

Konstantinos Tsimikas thought he had gotten the equalizer for his team but Raya remained sharp to stop his effort.

Yoane Wissa had his goal ruled out by VAR in the 40th minute due to an offside in the buildup but nothing could stop him from getting his glory, as the Congo international made it 2-0 just 2 minutes later.
2 goals down in the first half, Liverpool had to find a way to get themselves back on level terms.
Minutes after the kickoff of the second half, Darwin Nunez grabbed one back for the team after a neat through pass by Thiago but once again, VAR intervened and disallowed the goal.
They did get a goal back, this time through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the midfielder jumping ahead of his marker to head home Trent Alexander Arnold's cross.
Despite their attempts to get back on level terms, they just couldn't get past Raya and Brentford made it 3-1 in the 84th minute through Bryan Mbeumo, killing off any hope of a comeback.

The win meant that Brentford have won all their opening games in each of their last three calendar years, the last time they achieved this feat was way back in 1929 to 1932.
