World Cup| Qualification secured for France and Australia in Group D

 

 and Australia have booked their place in the Round of 16, finishing first and second respectively in Group D.

 Despite their 1-0 loss to Tunisia, Les Blues still had their secured after they had already won their first two matches.
 Australia finished with a win against Denmark courtesy of a superb solo goal by Matthew Leckie, who, alongside Matt Ryan, became Australia's most capped player in the world cup (9) tied with Tim Cahill.
 They finished with 6 points, same with France and seperated by goal difference.

 They qualified for the next stage of the competition for just the second time in their history and will have a bout with the winner of Group C, which consist of Poland, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Mexico.
 As for France, they will take on the runner-up of the Group.
