World Cup| England book their spot in the Knockout Rounds after a comfortable 3-0 victory against Wales in Group B

The Battle of the Brits ended in favour of England as they beat Wales 3-0 to advance to the knockout stage.

Marcus Rashford had the first real chance for the three lions in the 10th minute but Danny Ward denied his low attempt.

The two sides kept throwing things at each other but none had the edge as they went into the break goalless.

After the break, England were presented with an opportunity to take the lead through a freekick in the 50th minute and up stepped Marcus Rashford to curl a beautiful shot past Danny Ward, a goal which could rival Richarlison second goal against Serbia as the best strike of the group stage.

Just 2 minutes later, Phil Foden added to the scoresheet to make it 2-0, lashing on to Harry Kane's low cross into the box before drilling a first time shot past Ward.
This was the Manchester City midfielder's first goal in the World Cup.

Jordan Pickford had to be sharp to deny Kieffer Moore's deflected shot as Wales began to find a way back.

Unfortunately, their momentum was cut off in the 68th minute as Rashford grabbed his brace and England's third of the night.
The United man caught hold of Kalvin Philips throughball before evading multiple red shirts and beating the keeper.

His strike was England's 100th goal in a World Cup tournament.

England secured top spot in their group with 7 points, earning a shot against Senegal in the Round of 16.
USA follow suits after they too secured their qualification after their 1-0 win against Iran.
