Premier League| Manchester United's impressive run against the "Big 5"

It seems like the ten Hag effect is slowly taking control of the United locker room, as their current run of form has shown signs of promise.

Having started the season with 2 straight defeats, Manchester United went on to win their next 4 fixtures, taking them out of the bottom half of the table, which they haven't returned to till now.

One of the biggest improvement has been their performance against the traditional "Big 5" teams of the league.

United have picked up 3 wins, a draw and a defeat.

The 2-1 shocking victory against Liverpool and a 3-1 thumping on log leaders Arsenal, which is the Gunners only defeat of the season so far.

Unfortunately, the Red Devils couldn't replicate their performance against their City rivals, as they were humiliated with a 6-3 scoreline, courtesy of a Phil Foden and Erling Haaland Hattrick.

The loss ended their 4 league match winning streak, but they were quick to bounce back with a victory against Everton, a match which saw Cristiano Ronaldo score his 700th club career goal, which proved to be the difference in the game.

Their performance against Tottenham Hotspurs has been dubbed as the team's greatest outing under Erik ten Hag so far, as they kept Spurs at Bay while achieving victory with a comfortable 2-0 scoreline.

Their last four meetings against Chelsea all ended in a stalemate (0-0, 0-0, 1-1, 1-1), and are also the teams to have drawn the most games in the history of the premier league (25).

Although they extended that run after their late 1-1 draw last week , United proved to be a force to reckon with, dominated 52% of the possession while registering 13 shots, with 6 of them on target compared to the Blue's 6(2).

The Red Devils also had the most passes into the opposition box, most tackles, most interceptions and duels won, capping off their incredible display against Chelsea despite not getting a win.

They are currently occupaying the 6th place with 20 points, a point behind the top 4 spot.

Should they continue their impressive form, they could be strong contenders for titles once again.
